Export and Market Development Foreign Trade Missions
Organizing foreign trade missions
Organizing foreign trade missions is one of the valuable ways companies
can develop the partnerships required to pursue their strategies,
develop their international distribution networks, and gain knowledge
of technological and market innovations within the framework of a “watch” process
(i.e., monitoring threats and opportunities).
The attendance of businesses and stakeholders at international trade
shows also serves to position the Québec Chaudière-Appalaches
Economic ZONE more competitively in the global marketplace and foster
synergy among regional forces venturing abroad.
The trade mission unit is designed to meet the needs of specially
targeted sectors and their market segments—that is to say, businesses.
The role and tasks accomplished by this unit, obviously, depend on
the type of mission—i.e., commercial or exploratory (usually
without exhibits or stands)—and on whether PÔLE is the
Project Leader (meaning: main organizer) or Project Partner (meaning:
assisting organizer or simply a participant) within the framework of
a mission staged by another organization.
